• Your mapping with ultrasound will usually take about an hour to complete.  In more complex cases, the visit may extend up to 1.5 hour.
• Please wear comfortable clothing.
• The vascular sonographer will perform a detailed analysis of your superficial venous anatomy and assess for the presence of refluxing disease.
• The specialist nurse may assist with recording the findings.
• The scans are often performed with your legs hanging down, either lying on the bed or standing.
